TIME: 70 minutes

This Is Modern is a full length comedy dance theatre show which tells the 100 year history of 20th Century dance.

From Isadora Duncan through Martha Graham, Diaghilev, Merce Cunningham and Pina Bausch to the more contemporary trends of Eurocrash and Dancing and Talking (at the same time).

It is a mock lecture demonstration which is as informative as it is hilarious. For the uninitiated to dance it is a history lesson with jokes and a kind of 'how to' of choreography. To the dance insider it is a funny and sometimes painful journey through the techniques and ideas that have shaped dancers' lives.
